Laughter for Life at 3030 Park

by:

On Tuesday, Dec. 6, The Watermark at 3030 Park will host its monthly Laughter for Life Club meeting from 2 to 3:30 p.m. in the main lounge at the retirement community located at 3030 Park Ave. in Bridgeport.

Carol Scibelli, a comedy writer and popular speaker, will be December’s Laughter for Life Club presenter.  Scibelli is the author of Poor Widow Me: Moments of Feeling & Dealing & Finding the Funny Along the Way.  In this uplifting, funny and poignant collection of 84 “moments” that defined her life after her husband passed away from Burkitt’s lymphoma, Scibelli discloses many other life events we can all relate to where finding the funny is crucial to finding happiness.

Scibelli has had numerous essays published in The New York Times, Hartford Courant, and many weekly publications.  She has also written one-act plays that have been performed around Manhattan, and has been a member of the New York Friars Club since 1998.  She lives in Merrick, N.Y.

Laughter for Life Club meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month and are free of charge and open to the public.  Refreshments will be served.
