Yale-New Haven’s Smilow Cancer Hospital has opened a new campus at Greenwich Hospital. According to a release put out by Yale-New Haven, the opening of Smilow’s Greenwich Campus will allow Yale Cancer Center specialists to work collaboratively with leading oncologists and specialists from Greenwich. Yale Cancer Center also has numerous clinical trials available, many of which will now be offered to patients receiving care at the Greenwich Hospital Campus.
“The establishment of Smilow Cancer Hospital’s Greenwich Hospital Campus will increase access to high-quality cancer care through a convenient location in lower Fairfield County,” said Thomas J. Lynch, Jr., MD, director of Yale Cancer Center and physician-in-chief of Smilow Cancer Hospital at Yale-New Haven in the release. “This is an innovative way to enhance the exceptional care already being provided by Greenwich Hospital physicians, and bring the latest clinical trials to patients in their local communities.”
In addition to Smilow Cancer Hospital’s main campus in New Haven and its new campus at Greenwich Hospital, it also has eight cancer care centers located in convenient locations across the region. The care centers allow Smilow clinicians the ability to deliver high-quality healthcare to patients in the communities where they live.
