SHU staffer’s video about battling MS now online

You might remember that, a few months ago, I wrote a story in the Health and Fitness section about a video that Sacred Heart University staffer Leo Katsetos, made for the popular website EveryDayHealth. Katsetos, SHU’s senior associate athletic director for athletic training and head athletic trainer was filmed by the site talking about his battle with multiple sclerosis. At the time of the story, the video wasn’t yet posted. But thankfully, it’s now available online. You can watch it by clicking here.

Katsetos was diagnosed with the illness roughly 10 years ago, and has become a passionate advocate for raising awareness about the disease. He’s also been vocal about his desire to remain active despite his disease, which attacks the brain, spinal cord and optic nerves. Katsetos and four others with MS were interviewed earlier this year about their challenges, and how they’ve worked to overcome them.
