Griffin, Sound Tigers offer reduced price tickets

Griffin Hospital and The Bridgeport Sound Tigers are teaming up to bring men’s health to center ice by offering reduced price tickets for the Nov. 29 game against The Hartford Wolf Pack at the Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport.

The Griffin Pharmacy & Gifts, located on the hospital ground floor at 130 Division St., Derby, will be selling $20 tickets to the 7 p.m. game (normally priced at $34). Purchasers will receive a receipt for their tickets and will pick them up at the Webster Bank Arena Will Call window on game day. The reduced price ticket sales end at 7 p.m. on Nov. 26.

Proceeds from the sales will benefit Griffin Hospital’s Health Initiative for Men (HiM). The game will also feature many men’s health education and awareness activities especially the Sound Tigers involvement in the “Movember” movement, which encourages men to grow their mustaches during the month of November to show their support for health issues that affect men, such as prostate and testicular cancer. Fake mustaches will be on sale at Griffin Hospital Pharmacy & Gifts for those who want to bring one to the game.
