Getting juiced!

|

photo (1)Finally! I’ve got a juicer! I’ve got a juicer! I’ve been wanting one ever since I wrote an article on green juice (you can check it out here).  I never understood the whole juicing culture until I tried one, and from then on, I was hooked. The problem is, those all-natural, earth mama juices tend to be mighty pricey so I decided it would be cheaper to just get my own juicer, even though the last thing I need is another appliance in my tiny kitchen. I’ve been juicing all sorts of stuff from the CSA. In general, the juices aren’t pretty, but they taste great. So great that I even got EatDrink Jr. to try a kale-carrot-apple-grape juice and he said it tasted good. (Of course, he didn’t know about the kale-carrot part.) So now I’m on the hunt. What are some of your favorite juicing combinations?

  1. Michael says:

A really simple one that I recommend for people new to juicing is 6 large carrots and 1 head romaine.

Another would be the Summertime Mojito:
1 cucumber, 1 large pear, 1 large handful mint, 1/2 lime.

I also just like putting in different random fruits and seeing which combos I like.
