Happy National Tequila Day!

|

Margs[2]

Here’s one holiday I won’t be celebrating, but those of heartier stock certainly will. Wednesday, July 24 is National Tequila Day. Bodega Taco Bar is celebrating its  Best of the Gold Coast “The Best  Mexican Restaurant” win and National  Tequila Day at both the Fairfield and Darien locations.

On Wednesday evening, there will be samples of  paQui, the newest addition to  Bodega’s high end tequila offerings. paQui means “to be happy” in ancient  Aztec tongue. paQui + Bodega means  “very happy“.

Thursday,  July 25 is National Tequila Hangover Day (we made this one up). The perfect cure  is 2 for 1 breakfast tacos all day and night.

The  party continues on July 27, Saturday night in both Darien and Fairfield. Stop on by for a complimentary “Shaved Ice” on the sidewalk Mexico City-style. Toppings  include homemade strawberry, tamarind and mango marmalades and hibiscus,  watermelon, lime and dulce de leche syrups. Adults can spike it up a bit with a  drizzle of paQui tequila. What is  “Shaved Ice”? Go and find out Saturday from 5pm until meltdown.
