We have been showing you some dogs and cats who need a home.  The first group comes from Greenwich Animal Control and the other from Adopt-A-Dog.

Olive

Olive, a 3- to 5-year-old female pit bull mix, was found on the train tracks in Byram. Olive is affectionate, loves to play, enjoys walking and is good with sitting. She is better with a one-dog family and is OK with older children. Olive, along with other cats and dogs, is available for adoption at Greenwich Animal Control, 292 North St. Facility hours are 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The phone number is 203-622-8299. Call ahead first.

Spring

Spring, a 7-week-old male kitten, is one of a litter of four, three male and one female. Two are black and two are striped. They are very playful and a little shy at this early age. Spring, along with other cats and dogs, is available for adoption at Greenwich Animal Control, 292 North St. Facility hours are 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The phone number is 203-622-8299. Blackie

Blackie is a 3-year-old male retriever mix, who is neutered and weighs 45 pounds. Blackie, who was surrendered by his owner, is a special needs pet. He has diabetes and requires insulin shots twice a day. Recently he had surgery to remove cataracts in one eye, and a second surgery will be done to remove cataracts in the other eye to give Blackie nearly full sight. Adopt-A-Dog will assist in Blackie’s medical support. Other dogs or cats are not recommended, and older children are OK. Blackie is very sweet, and loves to be petted and get belly rubs. Pru

Pru is an 8-month-old female domestic short-haired cat, who has been spayed. She was surrendered by her owner. A friendly girl, Blackie is unknown with dogs, OK with most other cats and older children. Pru, along with other dogs and cats, is available for adoption at Adopt-A-Dog, 2 Cox Ave., Armonk, N.Y.
