Paula Poundstone Helps “Hope”

You don’t usually see “stand-up comedy” and “homelessness” in the same sentence.

But Paula Poundstone and Homes With Hope are both unusual.

The comedian — a regular on NPR’s “Wait, Wait, Don’t Tell Me!” — teams up with Westport’s social service agency helping neighbors with housing difficulties for an evening of comedy on Friday Sept. 10, at the Levitt Pavilion.

Tickets are $45.  For $100 you get pre-show cocktails, catered food and a silent auction — plus seating.  Ticket-holders for the show only should bring beach chairs and blankets.

Whatever you pay, you’ll help a great cause.

And you’ll have a great time.
