More than 40 films have been added to the 2012 Tribeca Film Festival lineup.
Only a few are creating a buzz already. One of the buzziest — “Lola Versus” — is directed and co-written by Staples graduate (Class of 2002) Daryl Wein.
The comedy — tracing the steps a woman in her late 20s takes after being dumped by her fiancé just weeks before her wedding — was picked as one of the festival’s highlights by the influential Indiewire blog.
According to Indiewire, Daryl “infuses this story of the post-breakup spiral with humor and authenticity.”
Daryl’s already achieved critical success — and won awards — with “Breaking Upwards” and “Sex Positive.”
Next month, he — and “Lola” — will do it again.
