See Some Sewage

|

The Westport Historical Society works hard to offer educational, entertaining programs.

There’s a good chance, though, that this Saturday’s event may stink.

An aerial view of Westport's sewage treatment plant.

It’s a field trip to Westport’s waste water treatment plant. Public works director Steve Edwards leads the tour, part of WHS’ superb current exhibit, “The Sound & The Saugatuck.”

Visitors will learn how the treatment plant protects our watershed — and how you can help.

It begins at 10 a.m. at the plant (8 Elaine Street). The suggested donation is $5. For more information, call 203-222-1424 or click here.
