If all you know about Mahackeno is that it’s the site of the Westport Y‘s summer camp — and the future home of the new Y, once it vacates downtown — you should check out “Summer Sundays.”
Introduced last July, they’re a chance for everyone to enjoy the 32-acre property. There’s a large outdoor pool, basketball courts, playing fields, canoeing, a 20-foot climbing wall, a 110-foot zipline, and archery.
Summer Sundays run from noon to 4 p.m. Activities are free for Y members; non-members pay $15 (adult), $10 (child).
It sounds perfect for a hot summer Sunday — like tomorrow.
There’s only one problem.
Summer Sundays don’t start until July 8.
