A friend (as in “Facebook friend”) whined this morning. “Tell me Thanksgiving isn’t in less than 2 weeks!” she moaned.
Well, I can’t tell her that.
But think back. Two weeks ago today, Westporters awaited — some worriedly, some jocularly — the arrival of much-anticipated Hurricane Sandy.
In the 2 weeks since then, we’ve weathered the storm, cleaned up after it, spent a week out of school, prepared for a nor’easter, dug ourselves out of a few inches of snow, and now are basking in spring-type temperatures.
Two weeks is a loooong way away.
No need to worry about the turkey and stuffing.
