Remember Westport’s gingerbread house decorating contest?
It’s kind of complex, but it involves picking up a kit through the Chamber of Commerce, decorating a gingerbread house, taking it to a participating merchant, then getting judged.
Well, the houses are on display, at 27 stores and businesses. They’ll be there through Monday (December 10).
People can vote on their favorites (with pennies), then attend a celebratory party on Thursday (Dec. 13), at 4:30 p.m. in the Westport Library.
A full list and maps of gingerbread houses is on the Westport Weston Chamber website: www.westportchamber.com.
All proceeds benefit Toys for Tots and Staples Tuition Grants.
No, it’s not just pennies. Gingerbread decorators paid for the privilege.
