Westport Library Links To Newtown

|

The Westport Public Library is known for going the extra mile.

This week, the library’s website features the Newtown High School logo on its home page.

But support for our neighbor to the north is more than symbolic. The site also lists books to help children and families deal with the tragedy. (They’re on display at the top of the stairs near the entrance to the Children’s Library.)

The Westport Library website also offers links to resources for parents:

From The American Psychological Association

What Parents Can Do/How Parents Can Help

From the National Institute of Mental Health

“Our hearts go out to the entire Newtown community,” the site says.

While offering solace, the Westport Public Library also provides real help. These days, we all need both.
