This Saturday(February 23, 11 a.m.) Fairfield County residents are challenged to bring their best carrot recipe to the Westport Farmers’ Market. There — inside Gilbertie’s Herb Garden, at 7 Sylvan Lane South — celebrity judges Matt Storch (chef/owner, Match and Chelsea) and Geoff Lazlo (chef, Le Farm) will taste their way through the entries.
The winner gets a Westport Farmers’ Market tote filled with over $100 worth of goodies — and the chance for the recipe to be shared with the 3,000 subscribers to the WFM weekly newsletter.
To enter the contest, email director@westportfarmersmarket.com by Wednesday (February 20).
There is one stipulation: Your carrots must come from a local farm. Be sure to note the name of the farm on your entry.
