Bye Bye Birdie

Staples Players’ summer productions are always something to see.

But sometimes they’re not something everyone can see.

Past shows have included “Rent” and “Les Mis” — awesome shows, but not exactly bring-the-little-kids fare.

“Bye Bye Birdie” is for everyone.

Though set in the late 1950s, it’s ageless. The music and dancing are classic — and if it’s not Elvis Presley/Conrad Birdie the girls are swooning over, it’s someone else.

The production is this week only: Friday (July 26) at 7:30 p.m.; Saturday (July 27) at 2 and 7:30 p.m., and Sunday (July 28) at 4 p.m.
