Fear Of Flying’s 40th

|

Most libraries would celebrate the 40th anniversary of the publication of Fear of Flying with a small display. A few might organize a lecture or panel discussion.

The Westport Library is, of course, not “most libraries.”

Which is why on Wednesday, October 9 (7 p.m.), a talk on the landmark novel will be delivered by the author herself.

Erica Jong will be there — in person — to discuss her book that shattered conventional thinking about women, marriage and sexuality.

This year also marks the 50th anniversary of the publication of The Letters of Vincent Van Gogh. That author is unavailable for a book.
