Dan Woog is a lifelong Westporter.  He has written about the town since he was a Staples High School student.  He knows where all the bodies are buried –- literally and figuratively.

Dan is a graduate of Brown University.  A fulltime freelance writer, his work has appeared in the New York Times, USA Today and Sports Illustrated.

His many corporate clients have included Monster.com and  Tauck World Discovery.  He is the author of 16 books -– including one on the history of Staples High School — and an award-winning columnist.  “Woog’s World” has appeared in the Westport News every Friday since 1986, while his bi-weekly “The OutField” column is distributed nationally by Q Syndicate.

In his spare time, he is the head coach of the highly regarded Staples High School boys soccer program, a well-respected speaker — and a blogger.
