Upcoming Exhibitions: New Members Show & Exploring New Territories

 

The Stamford Art Association is pleased to present two exhibitions at its Townhouse Gallery, the opening reception for both exhibits will take place on Friday, June 22, 2018, 5 pm – 8 pm during the sixth annual Stamford ArtWalk.

Seventeen new SAA members will display their work and a solo show “Exploring New Territories” by Nadia Martinez
 

 


The New Members Show will feature the mixed media work of seventeen new SAA members.  Each member will display a piece of art which will include sculpture, painting, and photography. 

 

Nadia Martinez is a Connecticut-based, Honduran multimedia artist whose work is in public and private collections worldwide. She exhibits her work nationally and internationally and has been awarded several art scholarships, including the Albert Hallgarten Traveling Scholarship.  Nadia was an Artist in Residence at the Museum of Art and Design in NYC and nominated for Women to Watch 2018 at the National Museum of Women in Washington, DC. She teaches sculpture at the New York School of the Arts in NYC. Her site-specific installation “Exploring New Territories” was created for the Stamford Art Association Townhouse Gallery.


 
 

 
Join us for the 6th annual ARTWALK in Stamford Downtown.  Created by Stamford Downtown, a phenomenal experience awaits ARTWALK patrons. 
The evening will feature 100+ painters, photographers, sculptors, and multi-media artists, all reflecting a diverse selection of mediums, styles, and trends in the Contemporary Art World.  Majority of the artwork will be available for purchase. The public is invited to come meet the participating artists while enjoying live music and activities.
