Video: Westhill wins one for Curto family

Westhill won an important game in its quest to make the FCIAC playoffs Monday night, 3-2 over Stamford but the evening was marked with sadness as the father of Westhill right fielder Cam Curto passed away Sunday night.

Curto played the game and his teammates played for him and his family.

Scary moment in the second inning as Ronnie Jackson collided with the left fielder as he raced out for a pop up. Jackson stayed on the field for several minutes until popping up to his feet and continuing in the game.

Westhill gets McMahon and Ludlowe to close out this week before games against top teams Darien and Staples next week and a season finale against Trinity.

The Vikings are in a large group of teams battling for spots 2 through 8.
