Southwestern Connecticut fireworks guide

Some towns are celebrating Independence Day a week early with fireworks displays. Celebrations run from June 27 to July 5, so mark your calendar now. We’ve also updated our list to reflect fireworks celebrations that have been canceled or postponed due to Tropical Storm Arthur. Here’s your guide to fireworks displays in Southwestern Connecticut:

Updated or Canceled Celebrations

  • Fairfield – The fireworks have been moved to Saturday, July 5.
  • New Canaan – The fireworks have been moved to Saturday, July 5.
  • Danbury – The fireworks at the Danbury Fair Mall have been moved to Saturday, July 5.
  • Weston – The fireworks have been moved to Saturday, July 5.
  • Stamford – The fireworks at Stamford Harbor have been moved to Saturday, July 5.
  • Stratford – The fireworks at Short Beach Park have been moved to to Saturday, July 5.
  • Derby-Shelton – The fireworks display has been moved to Saturday, July 5.
  • Norwalk – The fireworks at Calf Pasture Beach have been moved to Saturday, July 5.
  • Westport – The fireworks at Compo Beach have been moved to Monday, July 7.
  • Ridgefield – The fireworks at Ridgefield High School have been moved to Saturday, July 12.
  • New Canaan’s Family Fourth fireworks have been postponed to Saturday, July 5
