The Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport will hold its first beer festival on Dec. 13.
There will be more than 50 local, national, and international breweries at the festival.
At the event, called BEER-CONN, people pay-one-price to spend the afternoon or evening trying some new beers from their favorite local breweries as well as beers from across the country and around the globe.
There will be two sessions offered: 12:30-4 PM or 5:30-9 PM. A limited number of tickets will be sold. Once the event sells out, no additional tickets will be available for purchase. Tickets are $35 each plus taxes and fees when purchased in advance, ($45 plus taxes and fees on event day if the event is not sold out).
Tickets include admission to the festival, admission to beer seminars, a souvenir tasting glass, and the freedom to enjoy a 2 oz. sample of any of the beers present at the event. Designated driver tickets are also available for $10 each plus taxes and Ticketmaster fees. All attendees, including designated drivers, must be 21+ and present valid photo ID for entry.
Tickets and information is available at the event website, www.BEER-CONN.com.
The event is hosted by Starfish Junction Productions. “We have been creating great beer tasting events on the East Coast for nearly ten years, and now the time is right to expand into the Connecticut market. We’re ready to deliver a great experience to the area beer enthusiasts,” said Andy Calimano, owner of Starfish Junction Productions. “We have a great reputation in the craft beer and import markets. We help breweries, distributors, and importers reach new customers and offer beer lovers a fun opportunity to learn about and try new beers.”
“We are very excited about the upcoming BEER CONN festival,” said Curt Cameron, President of Thomas Hooker Brewing Company and President of the CT Brewers Guild. “This will be our first CT Brewers Guild hosted event. We are looking forward to showcasing some of the world class beers now being produced in our state and celebrating the support from all the CT beer fans,” added Cameron.
This event will help raise awareness and funds for The Village, one of the first agencies in the country to provide homes for neglected children and works with children and families in the Greater Hartford region.
The Webster Bank Arena is located at 600 Main Street in Bridgeport, two blocks from the Bridgeport Transportation Center, servicing Metro North Railroad New Haven line, Amtrak, and the Greater Bridgeport Transit Authority.
