  1. Our popular (and free!) LEARNING TO DRIVE: A guide for parents booklet might be of interest to your readers http://www.drivers.com/article/218/ – it can be downloaded in PDF format and has been distributed across school boards, driving schools and even used in part on the CNN website.

If we don’t solve the problem of talking and texting on the phone while driving we are going to see the accident rate sky rocket in future years. It’s bad enough we have adults who fail to recognize the risks involved, we now have new drivers who have little road experience out on our roads who are addicted when it comes to texting
and don’t seem to realize they are unaware of what is happening as their vehicle travels the distance of a football field (in many instances) distracted and unaware of the danger they have become.

  3. Connecticut drivers are crazy, Ken. But not as bad as Colorado drivers. And don’t get me started on North Carolina drivers. When it snows, they ride the brake to the grocery store, then they buy up all the milk and bread they can find. Then it snows two inches.

I saw one that said for teens to not text and drive. I suppose it’s ok for adults to text and drive? Don’t these suggestions apply to all drivers? I’m glad I’m not the only one who is confused by this teen driving safety week.
