The Blogster always likes listening to John Lennon, but as far as “just give me some truth” goes, this slanted video against Tom Foley, the GOP hopeful for governor might not fulfill the requirements for a full story.
“Anyone living in Stamford” – while Malloy was Mayor, did your taxes totally outpace the inflation rate, increase about the same, or increase at a slower rate? Did the lower crime rate increase property values in your neighborhood or raise it? The roads in Stamford were kept in great shape – did you ever cross the Stamford/Greenwich border on Palmer’s Hill? Any season, winter they were plowed faster, summer they were smoother. Not really sure what you’re talking about, I guess you can always find a pothole somewhere. I find it hard to believe that anyone would say Stamford was worse off at the end of Malloy’s mayorship than at the beginning. But I guess anyone can always find a pothole if you look close enough.
From an Independent point of view I think Dan Malloy running for governor is a joke for many reasons. In one of Dan Malloy’s TV ads he talks about his concern for the middle class yet when he was mayor he raised taxes hurting the middle class and the poor while giving huge tax breaks to big business so excuse me if I don’t buy his phony concern for the middle class and the poor. Not only did taxes go up in Stamford but quite a few roads in Stamford were left in horrible conditions with bumps all the place and when others were contstantly digging up the roads they did a very poor job of patching up the roads meaning they were left rough not smooth, very unprofessional and Dan Malloy allowed this. Anyone living in Stamford knows this. If this is how Dan Malloy runs a city just think of how he would run the state of CT. CT can’t afford Dan Malloy as governor!
