Unions need to start listening to its members. For the most part everyone is willing to give back and help in shared sacrifice. BUT How does Mr. Malloy expect the State Employees to give back 2000 million dollars ( YES that’s the same as 2 billion dollars)?

Members should be very weary of Mr. Malloy changing your medical plan from BC STATE to BC FEDERAL ( it is not the same). This will save only 100 million dollars (as stated by Mr. Malloy), Think about it?

Why would the union Break the contract that they fought for its members in 1997,which is in effect until 2017? Union members need to review the difference between the BC STATE and BC FEDERAL Plan.

Workers are willing to give back Furlough days, No raises, no steps, No longevity, give back holidays, change vacation time ect. ect.

UNIONS need to tell the members where they stand? Do you support the contract you fought for your members in 1997 thru 2017 for benefits and pensions?

Research the Federal health Plan and ask the Union where do they stand?

State workers are willing to contribute again with give backs, but it will never reach the 2000 Million dollars needed.

Maybe Mr. Malloy knows this already and he will have to change that safety Net through Lay-offs anyway?

If Foley WON , the unions would be shouting ” We are not giving anything back! We already did.!

Members are ready to help, Yet they may Vote NO to concessions if you turn your back and change the benefits and pension contracts that are in effect until 2017. Let’s see where you stand. No matter what, without major lay-offs they will never reach 2000 MILLION dollars in savings.
