HARTFORD – Connecticut’s geology doesn’t support the exploration of oil or natural gas, but lawmakers on Monday approved legislation to ban the waste from states where hydraulic fracturing – fracking – takes place.
The Judiciary Committee approved the bill with a bipartisan majority and the bill heads to the Senate as the General Assembly heads toward its midnight May 7 deadline.
