The closest fracked well in PA is about 130 miles from the state border at Danbury, not 250. Fracking waste has already traveled similar distance from PA to NJ, so the idea that CT is too far is absurd. For better information about well locations, violations, permits, etc., visit http://www.fractracker.org and see maps. Danbury and all other western CT residents should be questioning their legislators extensively about their position on fracking waste. Trucks traveling on I-84 will be the principle route for any future fracking waste brought into CT. Once within the state, I-91, I-95, smaller highways and local roads will also be used if waste is brought to locations identified by DEEP in Bridgeport, Meriden and Bristol.
