BRIDGEPORT — Robert Trefry — you remember him, formerly city board of education chairman when the state was in charge of the board and now head of the Connecticut Technical High School school board – will preside at a charter school renewal hearing for Park City Prep.
The hearing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. in Common Council Chambers of City Hall, 45 Lyon Terrace on Wednesday, Dec. 18.
Park City Prep is a public charter school which serves 260 sixth through eighth grade middle school students. It is eight years old and this summer it moved to a new location at 1550 State Street.
Charter schools are public schools that are run with state dollars. There is no tuition but students must enter lotteries to get in.
