I think Pratt has been decent during the series. He deserves to keep playing as he has made some bad decisions but he has been laying down his body trying to block shots. That goal on Sun was just a great pass, Pratt did all he could. If we had to bench a D-man i would say Tomi, I have not seen him perform at all in this series. But hell, are defense has been good, the real question is where is the offense? Hopefully last nights late surge will continue Fri
pratt gave me a heart attack last night when he took that penalty late in regulation (and probably Dave Baseggio, too)
What a great series. I don’t even have anything to see…this is some fun hockey to watch no matter what team is up.
I totally agree about Pratt…Some of the moves he’s been making are rediculous. He was good during the regular season, but it seems like he’s off his game a bit. Kohn might be a D-man to bring out for the next game.
I still do think they need to sit Jarrett.
Umm… no. If you’ve watched the past few games I think you might have noticed one defenseman laying on the ground while the puck was going into the net twice (and it amazingly wasn’t Jarrett). Pratt has played great for us this season, but I don’t know if he’s just getting tired or what it is, but when your goalie is playing as well as he is the one thing you don’t need to be doing is going down on plays. Stay up. Clear the rebounds. Keep your man’s stick up and your body on him. A defenseman should only go down as a last resort.
Yes, my #1 guess would be Jarrett. Great guy, but not the best defenseman on the team. Give the kid Dustin a chance to shine. Great win for the team last night. Let’s carry that momentum over for tomorrow night and win it at home for once.
Would love to see a white out but we need people in the seats for it to work.
what D are we talking about? Jarrett?
Gee, I wonder which defenseman that is? I think I have an idea. . . but really it would be good to get some new, fresh blood in there with Dustin.
That first line needs to step it up, work that puck the way they were when the Islanders were STILL playing!!! At least our 3M line worked it’s magic last night! Now we just need to get people in those seats on Friday. And, should we have our OWN “White Out”? Since it doesn’t seem to work for the Pens, maybe it’ll work for us!!!
I’m all for seeing Dustin Kohn make his playoff debut (assuming Rourke’s not available for Friday night). I can think of one defenseman that I’d prefer not to see laying on the ice again while a puck is going into the net.
The amazing thing (ok… besides the fact that they’re all road victories) is that they’ve done all this with little or no help from the big line. They hustle and move the puck better then any line on the ice, and they’re still playing a feisty style of hockey, but it seems like Bergenheim and Nilsson have completely lost track of where to put the puck. The one goal games might be exciting, but if they were getting the results we’re all expecting I’d bet that winning by two or three wouldn’t be out of the question. That’s not really a complaint, but more of an observation.
