Hilbert: Depth is good. And depth with talent can be better than good.
And yes, this list includes all the Islanders’ free agents who finished the year in Bridgeport, plus all the players on AHL contracts, plus Bouchard and Smith (who played a fair part of the year in Bridgeport) and Godard (who was here so long I thought he merited mention). It doesn’t include the pro tryout guys. But pretty much everyone who finished the year here and isn’t on this list, guys like Marjamaki and Gervais? They’re under contract, except Kohn (unsigned draft pick) and Tsimikalis (undrafted).
Masi and Bruno are both signed for the upcoming season.
Islanders just signed Andy Hilbert to a one-year contract.
What’s going on with players that aren’t listed here? Like Masi Marjamaki or Bruno?
