The 1-0 OT games were March 20, 2005 against Albany and January 29, 2006 against Syracuse. Both of the games were, in fact, ended with a power play goal.

Ahren Nittel got the game-winner in the Albany contest, and as said above, Mark Hartigan got the power-play marker for the Crunch.

CC, you are right: Valiquette’s first Hartford game, and his first game back in Bridgeport. But there’s another controversial piece to that game.

Andy, the fact that it was Philadelphia is a big piece to the answer I was looking for. Oh, and on Hartigan’s goal: Be less specific. (Maybe I’ll editorialize later.)

Both of the scoreless ties were in the same season, only a month apart. I’m not sure (besides the fact that Vally was the opposing goalie in the Hartford game) what was unique about each game. Dubie was in net for Bridgeport both games (no surprise) and they were two of his 9 shutouts that season. The second game was against Philly and was Wade’s final regular season start and so I guess you can say that it was the game he set the team record for shutouts at 9 and the AHL record for GAA and SV% since the 65 minutes of shutout time brought his numbers down to 1.38 and .946.

I remember all four of these games, but I have to admit that I had to look up who the opponent was in that final game (Philly). I was sure it was in the shutout season.

I think that both of the goals for your second question were on 4 on 3’s for the winning team. The Rats did it once and then Hartigan did it for Syracuse.

March 6, 2004 vs. Hartford was one of them. Valiqiette’s first game and shut out with the Wolf Pack in his return to Harbor Yard.
