Trafficking

Traffic, man. Traffic in Seymour. Traffic in Waterbury. Traffic in Cheshire. Traffic in Southington. Traffic in New Britain. (Not in Hartford; dunno what happened there.) Traffic in Storrs. (And I’m pretty sure the folks in Vernon left the second double out of the double-double.) Traffic from Sturbridge to Worcester. The routine 1:45 trip became about 2:30. Come on, people. If you’re not going to a game, off the roads.

The Sound Tigers hit something similar, so the game will begin a few minutes late. (About five minutes, it appears. Almost unnoticeable, unless you’re on deadline.) Morency and Klementyev in for Figren and Gleed.

We’re denied the epic Sixsmith-Sexsmith showdown, but there’s a good cause behind the other goalie: Worcester’s Alex Stalock is debuting tonight a mask that honors the six firefighters who died in a warehouse fire here, 10 years ago this week. They’ll auction off the mask on NHL.com, with the proceeds going to the Worcester Fire Scholarship Program and the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
