Little off topic but boy was Wishart terrible last night. And no that wasn’t a question.

NHL season ends a week before the AHL season… Barring injury, I would expect Cizikas and Ullstrom to be on the roster for the playoffs, considering they were on the Sound Tigers clear day list…

  3. Doug F. says:

Just another Koharski Kalamity as are most of his games.

The box office wants me to buy playoff tix without knowing what product will be on the ice. Without the guys (Cizakis, Ullstrom, etc.) coming back from the mother ship and without a healthy Colliton this team is primarily a ECHL squad with a sprinkling of PTO’s and ATO’s and will not be long in the playoffs. I find it hard to pay AHL Playoff ticket prices for the product that was on the ice last night.

  4. Exactly where he was going.

  5. hank says:

during the rewview, I saw an off-ice guy run from the press box to the PA box and tell them something, assuming that a kick is not reviewable. Also, if Sharks scored one more, Clarke I think would have been in for sure… good effort for 40 mins… better than the other way of losing in the last 20 after 40 strong. Lets hope the goalies are here with Naby out!

  6. If it had gotten out of hand, maybe.

  7. Mario says:

As Jeff stated above, this was a horrible start to a game and then it turned into a free for all before turning into a “normal” game. Koharski made a “mistake” by going to the review. The only thing that can be reviewed is if the puck crosses the goal line. Mike, did you think they would ever go to the “backup” for a goalie change last night??

  8. Jeff says:

That was my original thought, when he first waved off the goal I was thinking, just like in the NFL, the evidence had to be concrete in order to overturn the initial call.

  9. Koharski waved off the goal after talking with Kevin Redding. He then went in to review it. I don’t know how far along in the review process he got before he was reminded that “kicked in” isn’t one of the criteria that’s allowed for review. So, no, no conspiracy theories.

  10. Jeff says:

If Sundays win was a much needed victory, then last nights win showed the team’s never say die attitude that led them through Jan/Feb is back, at least for one night. That first period was pathetic to say the least registering only 4 shots on goal and being knocked around the ice, they came back after a quick goal in the second and made good use of that game-in-hand with the Whale.

What happened during the “review”? It looked like they went in to review the play then Koharski came out conferred with the linesman for a while. I heard they were saying that the puck was kicked in and therefore, not reviewable. Did they come up with this after reviewing the play? If that were the case, it looked like they were looking for a reason not to award the goal. Thanks.
