Pellerin on his way?/Clark signs

Think Brian Compton had this name out there first as a man in the mix: It appears the eighth coach of the Bridgeport Sound Tigers is going to be Scott Pellerin.

A teammate of Garth Snow’s at Maine (he missed Jack Capuano by a year), Pellerin, 42, has been an assistant with Manchester since 2006. After he won the Hobey Baker in 1992, he had a 12-year pro career that included 536 NHL games.

Meanwhile, the Islanders announced that they’ve signed Jason Clark to an ELC, taking him out of Wisconsin. Chuck Schwartz has some enlightening quotes from him and Neil Sheehy. (H/T Chris Peters.)
