Exactly how the rosters would be affected by a lockout is to be determined. It wasn’t only entry-level guys last time around. And if there is an NHL camp, AHL preseason games sound unlikely here. If there isn’t an NHL camp, that could change.
And another question. If they plan to do what they did last year and train on the island if there is no NHL camp what do they plan to do about “pre season” games, most of the local teams already have their preseason slate set?
How does the absence of a CBA affect AHL teams? Which players will report to AHL training camps, those on 2 way deals, ELC or AHL only deals?
