Cleveland rocks Ontario: Thursday notes

Cleveland is back in the Calder Cup Final, finishing a sweep in double overtime tonight. Lukas Sedlak’s goal gave Lake Erie a 2-1 win and a four-game victory over the Ontario Reign. So locals Michael Paliotta and Jaime Sifers, former Beast of New Haven Nolan Pratt (his brother Harlan was once a Sound Tiger), and Brett Gallant are all going to the Final.

Aaron Ness and Hershey can join them tomorrow, or Mark Arcobello and the Marlies can try to start the climb back.

Elsewhere, Vancouver announced that it has signed Tom Nilsson, the defenseman from the Michael Grabner trade with whom the Islanders cut ties right before the season.
