Breaking up families: Tuesday notes

Roughly the same group at Wonderland today as was at Harbor Yard yesterday, with the additions of goalie Clay Witt and one Jon Landry. Had a nice chat with Landry that’ll go in the paper tomorrow. The only change noted to the forward array was breaking up Team Brothers: Ben Holmstrom wore yellow instead of green, with Lukas Lofquist, Kyle Schempp and Shawn Pauly, leaving his brother Josh to keep up with the I’m embarrassed for even thinking that skate with the Joneses.

The Wolf Pack received a group of players last night that includes Westport’s Michael Paliotta, as well as Adam Tambellini. The Rangers face the Big Club tonight: From Arthur Staple, forwards and defensemen with some BST/ex-BST flavor.

Last night’s Islanders game included a goal for Colin Markison.

Local Peter Gintoli, who played at Notre Dame-Fairfield, is listed on Greenville’s camp roster on yesterday’s ECHL transactions. He played his college hockey at Salve Regina.

A neat Players Tribune piece from Jim Rutherford on life as a GM.

@Lowetide notes quite the anniversary: It’s the 25th anniversary of Mark Messier’s trade to the Rangers.

And very belatedly, not sure how I missed it: RIP, Glenn Yarbrough.
