Quick turnaround: Thursday notes

Jon Landry’s PTO expired last night. He wasn’t on the ice today but was in the house. All signs are that something gets done to keep him here.

The rest of them hit the ice a few hours after getting back from Allentown. It looked as if Colin Markison might get a night off tomorrow to ease him back in, but otherwise the units looked the same as yesterday. They do have bodies: Kellen Jones was out of no-contact red to be one of four guys in fifth-line orange. “He’s day-to-day,” Thompson said. “I want to see him get through a couple of contact practices.” Theoretically today’s the last one of those before the Christmas break if you don’t count morning skates, so does that make him possible for the weekend at all? Thompson said they’ll see how tomorrow goes.

Tomorrow may involve Frank Vatrano on the other side. Not sure, but the Bruins may not have lost since they lost to Bridgeport to open the Sound Tigers’ season. They had Anton Blidh called up today.
