Charlotte announced today that it has signed Matt Finn to an AHL two-way. The Islanders didn’t tender Finn a contract before the deadline last month, making him an unrestricted free agent. (The Lists are Over There Somewhere on the Right, below a blogroll that badly needs its every-three-years-or-so massive overhaul, but here’s more immediate re-links: Bridgeport signed and free agents.)
The Islanders made official what I think had been reported on the Island: Greg Cronin becomes associate coach of the Big Club.
Still no officials assigned. No idea what’s taking so long.
Josh Robinson, standout goalie for the Mavericks the past couple of years and briefly a Sound Tigers backup last season, has retired to join the Florida Everblades as goalie coach.
Good luck to Emily Aasand, leaving the league office for UConn.
