Three Cups: Wednesday notes

The Kelly Cup Final will need seven games: Colorado beat Florida, setting up a deciding game Saturday. Had the Stanley Cup Final set up with a potential Game 6 on Saturday instead of Sunday — I mean, when is Hockey Night in Canada, anyway? — we conceivably could’ve had the NHL, AHL and ECHL all award their trophies on the same day. Ah well.

More coaching: Milwaukee needs to replace Dean Evason. A couple of Bridgeport’s coaches were on the golf course today.

Parker Milner re-signed with Hershey.

P.J. Conlon, claimed back and forth on waivers from the Mets to the Dodgers and back, tweeted this brilliance on Wednesday.

And RIP, Red Schoendienst and John Ashbridge.
