Reports: Islanders add Lorito

Brennan Klak reported that the Islanders have signed Matt Lorito, and CapFriendly adds that it’s a two-year contract for a sizeable amount of money in Bridgeport terms.

Lorito is a fourth-year pro forward who signed with New Jersey (yep) out of Brown in 2015, then went on to Detroit in 2016. He has 171 points in 202 AHL games plus another 20 points in 30 AHL playoff games. He also had an assist in two games for the Red Wings last season.

CapFriendly has it as a two-way deal this season to pay Lorito $400,000 in the AHL, and it has it as a one-way next year.
