No Saint: Tuesday notes

Same group as yesterday for the Sound Tigers, missing Travis St. Denis. Brent Thompson said he skated early Tuesday, and it sounded like he expected St. Denis to be available this weekend.

The team will be off tomorrow, in the middle of two long weeks, and practice Thursday morning before the three-in-three to come. We will miss Thursday’s practice, unless every high school football game gets moved to Wednesday night.

Yesterday, a few players were outside helping out the Bridgeport Rescue Mission‘s Great ThanksGiving Project.

Darren Dreger reported yesterday that Maxim Mamin will be going to CSKA Moscow instead of Springfield. Meanwhile, Micheal Haley scored last night in his NHL season debut, which was a depressingly eventful evening otherwise.

A nice piece from Springfield on onetime Sound Tiger Matt Mangene and the cancer story of his cousin.

Been an interesting 24 hours in the NHL coaching carousel, in St. Louis (including an interim assistant) and now Edmonton.

And elsewhere, a tip of cap to Adrian Beltre.
