Sausage Stuffed Mushrooms

For an elegant appetizer serve these Sausage Stuffed Mushrooms.

INGREDIENTS

24 Large Button Mushrooms

1 Teaspoon Kosher Salt

1/2 Teaspoon Freshly Ground Pepper

2 Large Links Chicken Sausage (Casings Removed)

1 Garlic Clove (Minced)

1/4 Cup Italian Seasoned Bread Crumbs

Line baking sheet with parchment paper.  Set aside. 

Preheat oven to 425 Degrees.

Remove stems from mushrooms.  Finely chop stems and set aside stems. 

Arrange mushroom caps on prepared baking sheet and season with kosher salt and pepper. 

Add chopped mushroom stems to medium-size bowl.  Add chicken sausage, minced garlic, and bread crumbs.  Mix well. 

Pack 1 tablespoon sausage stuffing into each mushroom cap.

Place in oven 20 to 25 minutes until mushrooms are tender and sausage is golden brown. 

Remove from oven.  Transfer to serving plate. 

Serve warm.
