The flavor of stout enhances the batter of these crispy onion rings.
Vegetable Oil For Frying
4 Onions (Peeled And Sliced Thick)
2 Cups Unbleached Flour
1 Pint Stout
Kosher Salt For Finishing
In medium-size bowl combine flour and stout to create a batter.
Add vegetable oil in medium-size pot and heat until temperature reaches 350 degrees.
Working in batches, dip sliced onion rings into batter and then into oil.
Fry, flipping once or twice, for about 2 minutes and drain on paper towels.
Transfer to serving platter, finish with kosher salt, and serve immediately.
