The second annual food drive, Food for Thought 2010, will be at Widow Brown’s Cafe Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m., and it sounds like a fun way to help out.
The mission is to stuff a van from Enterprise rent-a-car with nonperishable food and frozen turkeys, all of which will go to help area families in need of food this holiday season.
The fun part is that all participants will be able to enjoy free apps, discounted drinks and live music and entertainment. Plus there will be a raffle to raise money to feed 100 local families – tickets will be only $2 each, and a variety of prizes, including gift certificates to local restaurants, salons, and more will be awarded.
If you have a business and would like to donate a product or gift certificate, call either David at 203-448-7596, Denis at 203-885-3870 or Trisha at 203-300-3089.
Otherwise, just head over to Widow Brown’s, 128 Federal Road in Danbury, Sunday between 6 and 9 p.m. with your donations and have a great time!
