Henry Abbott Technical High School in Danbury just received a state grant worth $410,752 that will be used to replace the school’s lathes and milling machines.
The state’s Bond Commission in Hartford approved the funding Friday.
The grant was part of a larger bond authorization that totaled $3.5 million for the state’s 17 technical schools.
The school educates students from area towns in a program that combines training with academics so students graduate with a high school diploma and professional training in one of the eleven fields.
