Danbury police tight-lipped on Housman Street investigation

DANBURY — City police are stationed at a Housman Street home and, according to neighbors, have been since late Sunday afternoon.

But police on the scene and at the department’s headquarters declined to explain the circumstances of what a shift commander would only describe as an “active investigation.”

One neighbor, who declined to provide his name, said police and an ambulance responded to the street Sunday evening and officers spent time Monday taking pictures of two homes.

“There were two cars her all night watching the two houses,” the neighbor said.

Another neighbor, who also declined to provide his name, said “there was police all over.”
