A 22-year-old Bridgeport woman was arrested on a warrant charging her with hindering prosecution in relation to the shooting death of a Bridgeport man in May outside a White Street club, police said.
The U.S. Marshals Violent Fugitive Task Force and Danbury police detectives served the warrant on Tysheema Franklin after she was located in East Haven. She was returned to Danbury where she is being held on a $100,000 bond.
Franklin’s charges stem from an investigation into the shooting death of Jeiel Kingston, a 23-year-old killed outside the Mambo Club in Danbury.
A Bridgeport man, Garfield Sanderson, 23, was arrested nine days after the shooting and charged with Kingston’s death. He was ordered by a Danbury Superior Court judge to be held on a $1 million bond.
Another Bridgeport man, Rashad Dancy, 25, was also arrested as a result of the crime. He was charged with criminal possession of a firearm for shooting at a house on Shelton Street in retailation for the death of his friend, Kingston.
At the time of her arrest, detectives said Franklin was found to be wanted by the Milford Police Department on unrelated charges.
