Dear Mr. Parker…the world is a better place because of people like you who have such a huge heart and wonderful spirit. I’m sure your precious Emilie is nestled in the arms of her Grandma this day. I will keep you all in my prayers. God Bless.

    Kim,
I too was transfixed by the amazing, reflective, thoughtful reaction that Mr. Parker struck. For me it set an excellent tone of forgiveness and grief and not anger. That he focused on the lessons he learned from his daughter was a tribute to him as a father (as I am) and to his daughter’s brief time with us. It rose above the tragedy and was a strong first reaction to help the healing begin.

I will never forget the words this man has said about his precious daughter, and his desire to be compassionate and see others be compassionate in life. I think this is a very Christ-like heart in him, and this will be an inspiration to me in my faith as well. His family’s grief must be tremendous, and their courage extraordinary in the face of what has happened. God bless them. I’m sure his daughters are all as lovely as he is, and I can’t stop the tears from flowing. It is heartbreaking what has happened, but he is a strong man who will be a help to the families of victims that heard him say these words, too. God bless and comfort all of these people affected by this; it is a tremendous loss and agonizing, I’m sure.

    To Robert Parker and family,
I saw Mr. Parker’s statement on television today. It broke my heart and I cried for him and his family. What is amazing is that he’s not angry or vengeful. His focus on his daughter and how he can help other’s is truly selfless and he is an incredible human being. The beauty his spoke of his Emilie tells me that she likely was as beautiful a person as he. I don’t know how he managed through that statement and those questions, but may God bless him and his family. I am a mother of 5 young children and one of them is a 6 year old and in kindergarten. I don’t know how I could manage. Three of my children are in one school, and I’m overwhelmed at the thought that this could happen. I will pray for all the families of this overwhelming loss and keep in my heart that may all of these wonderful people, children and adults may live on in all of our hearts and forever in heaven. May the healing begin and all of us grow ourselves and love for one another, knowing all too well that life is precious and can be taken from you in an instant. God Bless!
