Sedensky issues brief statement on why he won’t appeal Judge Eliot Prescott’s order to release Sandy Hook 911 calls

“After consultation with the Office of the Chief State’s Attorney and the attorney for the Town of Newtown who is a party to the appeal in the Superior Court, we have decided not to pursue an appeal on the denial of the application for a stay,” Danbury State’s Attorney Stephen Sedensky III just said in a news release from the Dpt of Criminal Justice. No further explanation, but New Britain Superior Court Judge Eliot Prescott last week repudiated all of Sedensky’s arguments for keeping the recordings secret. So Sedensky must have though the Appellate Court would have gone along with Prescott.
